1st Colonial Grill is one of the favorite restaurants in Legazpi that tourists shouldn’t miss when in the city. Using the freshest and finest ingredients, 1st Colonial Grill creates classics including Bicolano favorites such as laing, Bicol Express and the Tinutungang Manok (chicken stewed in coconut cream extracted from slightly scorched coconut milk that infuses a distinct smoky flavor), a local favorite and one of Albay’s culinary jewels.

The dish that put 1st Colonial Grill on the map is Tinapa Rice, a signature of dish fried rice with tinapa flakes and slices of salted egg, green mangoes, and tomatoes served in a small “kawali”. 1st Colonial Grill also has a cafe famous for its unique desserts, especially the now nationally-famous Sili ice cream. Their five-spice grilled chicken and laing are also bestsellers.
