The month-long, province-wide Magayon Festival 2009 officially begins today! All roads lead to Albay this month of April as the province welcomes friends and guests to the annual celebration. Magayon Festival is originally inspired by the ‘Legend of Daragang Magayon‘, the lovely but tragic story of how the majestic Mayon Volcano came to be.

Today,  Magayon Festival has evolved to become a celebration of the rich culture and warm hospitality of the Albayanos as well as a showcase of the best that Albay can offer – fascinating destinations capped by the captivating Mayon Volcano, delightful cuisine, unique Bicolano products, and many more.
