The City Commission on Elections (Comelec) here has proclaimed the newly elected set of local officials. Lawyer Jasmin Banzuela, election officer, proclaimed Geraldine Rosal and Viittorio Roces as newly elected mayor and vice mayor, respectively.

Geraldine Rosal, wife of outgoing mayor Noel Rosal of Lakas-Kampi-CMD, got a total of 56,930 votes as against her opponent Lorna Cristobal with 31,909 vote casts. The City board of canvassers for local officials also proclaimed the 10 city councilors.

Mayor–elect Rosal said that her administration will introduce new programs. “All ongoing projects under the administration of my husband will be completed as scheduled.”,  she added.
