One of the best ways to view any city is from above while aboard an aircraft. From up there, one can see the city and its surroundings literally from a different perspective. Those who arrive in or leave Legazpi via plane are treated to an expansive view of the city and the magnificent Mayon Volcano, especially when the weather is good.
Here’s a gallery of aerial photos of Legazpi City taken last March 2009:

Climbing up to the summit of the Philippines’s most active volcano is truly an experience of a lifetime. Climbing up to the level close to the summit or an area commonly referred to as the knife’s edge is for the intermediate-expert climber or for one who is very fit. It normally takes two days and one night to reach the summit and it is essential that one have a competent and knowledgeable local guide.
Great aerial photos. Perhaps next time photos from a low flying airplane might prove to be interesting.
wow! aerial photos….wow! dexter…looking forward for more posts…:)
Thanks Weena!
nice shots indeed! i am guessing you’re seated on the right side of the airplane. now, i should get a right side window seat when i visit legaspi. thanks for posting sir dexter!
Thanks! When leaving Legazpi, ask the peeps in the check-in counter to give you a seat with a view of Mayon. Ang view kasi naka depende kung saan magte-take off yung plane.
