Legazpi all set for Infotek 2009

Legazpi City has been recognized as one of the ‘Next Wave Cities’ by the Commission on Information and Communication Technology (CICT).  To further promote the city’s IT capabilities and competitiveness, Legazpi is all set to host the three-day Information Technology (Infotek Exhbiti) 2009 on October 28 to 30, 2009 at the Embarcadero IT Park in the Legazpi Port Area. This year’s Infotek is expected to gather hundreds of information technology advocates and professionals from around the country.

Infotek 2009 is held under the auspices of the Albay Information and Communication Technology Association (AICTA) headed by Ms. Rosemarie Rey, AICTA President. Rey said that Infotek 2009 will “gather ICT advocates in promoting the development of the ICT industry in the province as part of the 6th Biennial IT event in Albay”. With the theme “The World Needs IT, Albay has IT”, Infotek is designed to promote the IT capability and readiness of the province, especially this city, as a favorable destination for Offshoring and Outsourcing (O&O) investments projects.
