Legazpi City hosts Philippine Councilor’s League national confab

The city government here will host the National Convention of the Philippine Councilor’s League at La Piazza Hotel & Convention Center on March 15 – 17 with some 3,000 councilors from all over the country expected to attend the said convention.

Mayor Geraldine Rosal of this city said that with bigger and better hotels and convention venues to choose from, participants can be easily accommodated unlike before when venues were lacking. Today, there are the Oriental hotel, St Ellis, and La Piazza that can handle a large number of participants.

Rosal expressed her gratitude to the efforts of local government units (LGUs) and city councilors responsible for making the event possible.

The city mayor likewise asks the Legazpeños to be one with the local government’s aim of promoting the city as a tourism destination.

She added that the transport sector in particular must not take advantage by asking for overpriced fare rates so our visitors will not hesitate in going back to the city. (MAL/SAA, PIA V/Albay)
